Sexy Jeans, New Shoes, Great News!
Just got back from the shops and am very happy with my new jeans!! I bought a new pair a few months ago which were a little too big and stretched even bigger. These are snug and comfy.
Also got some cute shoes for $6 at Target. They’re super easy to slip in and out of so I won’t be spending forever at the genkan this trip!

Okay, so what about the great news? Well here it is… I passed the JLPT!! For those of you who can’t remember what that stands for – it’s the Japanese Language Proficiency Test. I took Level 3 in December last year and just got my results today. Listening was my weakest (I only just passed) but I scored high in the other two sections.
I’m very happy!
Less interesting things I did today involved sorting out how I’m going to take my money to Japan. I’ve decided on taking cash and using my credit/debit cards. Travellers cheques just seem like too much effort. While I was looking into options over there I found out that anyone can apply for a Postal Savings Account in Japan. Basically it’s set up by the post office and works just like a normal bank account – you can even get an ATM card for it. However, unlike with the banks, you don’t need to be a resident or have an alien registration card. Very handy and I’ll probably get one if I decide to go on a working holiday one day.
I also finished writing a little letter to the 4th graders at Okimoto Ougi Gakuen. They were so sweet when I visited so I’m sending them some ROC candy, a Where’s Wally book and instructions on how to play Heads Down, Thumbs Up. I hope they like it! I got an email from Adachi asking for me to drop by the city office as they and the school have some gifts for me to take back to Belmont. It’ll be nice to see them all again because they were so friendly when we visited in January.
Oh! One more tidbit! Russell and I went and saw our real estate agent the other day as we’d really like to move into a bigger (and nicer) place. She was so lovely and told us that because we had been such good tenants she would be happy to help us find another place and would write us an impeccable reference! With her help we’re hoping to find a nice villa so we can have our own space and maybe even a kitten!
Well, that’s all for now! xx

kitten :3
Those shoes are awesome!!
And a kitty?!?! AWESOME!
David has a few properties on the market atm, whats your price range??
We don’t want to break lease so won’t move until June. But we’re looking for something $300 or less per week.
I really want a pet!! Can you have pets where you live?
My lease is up in june too!! Not supposed to have pets since its a strata complex, but its pretty much negotiable with the owner. The people in my unit before me had a little kitten and I’m baby sitting davids finches atm, so nothings impossible.
I think it’s the same for us. If we stayed on another year here we’d probably be allowed a pet but it’d be nicer for them if we had a backyard.
Haha, he really likes his birds eh.
KITTTTTY!!!
Ooooh, moving! exciting!

Housewarming?
oh, and congratulations on passing the test! ^_^, one of my mates got her 2nd level award around the same time as you~ =p
Donican? I think Russell showed me her lj.
Not moving until at least June but yes, will most definitely have a housewarming!
I’m guessing I’ll probably miss out on your engagement party eh. We have to catch up sometime!
I have a courtyard ^_^
Party at Amy’s place!!
aww look at the kitty.
Dont think we’re having an engagement party~
I got an awesome shirt for 6 bucks there a month or so ago
And thank you so much for the card! You guys are so sweet <3
Also, I forgot to mention, target clothing ftw
nice kitteh
you must love moving or something
I guess I do… It’s just because I’ve had to move so much in the past that I’ve gotten used to it and it doesn’t stress me out. Change is fun. :]
