Japlanning

On March 28 I’m going to be jet-setting off to Japan for two whole months! I’ve been wanting to do this for years and now it’s all coming together. I almost can’t believe it but I think it will sink in when I get off the plane at Narita and have to find my way to my hostel!

All of my accommodation is organised and I’ve saved enough to cover that and my travel expenses. I’m going to be staying in three hostels and with three host families around Japan. When I first started planning I didn’t think it would be possible to go to so many places on my kind of budget, but as it turns out I’ll get to see Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Mt Fuji and Yokohama. Also, thanks to my awesome host sister Rie, I’ll be seeing Ayumi Hamasaki in concert too!!

So the whole reason I started this blog is to document my trip. :] And I’d like to take this moment to thank Jinnan who helped me do the whole thing. :D Thank you!!

Now that the bulk of it is planned I’m starting to get a little nervous and keep thinking of the things I ‘mustn’t forget’. I’m going to start writing a list and would really appreciate any suggestions others have from their experiences. Just leave a comment below and I’ll add it to my list right here…

~Super Japan List~

  1. Passport :B
  2. Power adapter for Mac & DS & Phone
  3. Enough vitamins etc to last me
  4. Gifts
  5. Sort out travellers cheques/cards/cash – Almost!
  6. Business cards
  7. New jeans – Check!
  8. Winter jacket that doesn’t scratch my neck
  9. Mobile Phone – Check!
  10. Write list of things to pack
  11. Get suitcase from parents

Your super ideas are super appreciated!
